Dickensian Cast

Founded in 1923, Grassington Players have been entertaining audiences in the Yorkshire Dales for many years with their very own special blend of performances. Generally staging two or three plays a year, the Players' home is the main hall and the smaller Octagon Theatre of the Devonshire Institute building known as the Town Hall in Grassington. The society draws its members from the villages of Wharfedale, from farming folk to solicitors, schoolchildren to septuagenarians.

Their immensely popular annual Dickensian shows in December pull audiences from all over the country and their Spring and Autumn productions span a wide range of material from comedy to tragedy, with bitter sweet laughter and tears a speciality.
